Castlefarm Allotments

Castlefarm organic allotments will provide people with the tools to grow their own organic vegetables. From January 2009 organic allotment holders will be able to get their hands on the individual 6x 5 metre plots (larger areas available). Organic plots will be ploughed and rotovated and will be serviced with organic farmyard manure and water. An organic growing course run by organic trainer Grace Maher and Paula Pender will involve a monthly Saturday morning talk, followed by a walk around the allotments and Castlefarm garden to give hands on advice on what growers need to do. It will be very informal, with plenty of interaction and time for questions.
