Seasonal open mornings
At the moment we have so much fresh produce coming on board we are often opening on a Saturday morning from 11am-1pm. Follow us on facebook or sign up to our newsletter to keep up to speed on last minute decisions to open as well as seasonal specials!
Honest vegetables and eggs
Our honesty egg box now has company in the form of an honesty vegetable box. This is an insulated cold box which we refresh every 2 days with our own fresh vegetables as well as John O Briens new potatoes. Keep in touch with facebook to find out when the vegetable honesty box has been refreshed!
What from the farm is on sale at farm shop this July
Salad leaves, cucumber, spinach, courgettes, herbs, fennel, beetroot..
Also honey, cheese, apple juice, hen and duck eggs.
Whats happening on the farm
At last our farm is seeing some much needed rain. We have made our first cut of silage for the year and fingers crossed with this rain our pastures will start to thrive now. Our last spring calving cow calved down at the end of May. Unfortunately we have a fox on the farm. He/she has tucked into a few of our hens and we need to be extra vigilant, locking them in earlier in the evening.
Certified organic Aberdeen Angus beef boxes sold for July but availablity for August
• Meat hung for 21 days to optimise on flavour and tenderness
• €12/kg for a box of mixed cuts (steaks, roasts, stewing beef and mince)
• Extremely good value for great quality product
• Boxes range from 12-16kg
As usual the boxes will include 6-8 steaks, roasts, stewing beef and good quality mince. Cost per kg is €12 and box sizes range from 12 to 16kg. Our beef is hung for 21 days and butchered in Murphy’s Craft Butchers Tullow.
