Castlefarm is inviting customers to get their hands dirty and help out on the farm on Saturday 17th Sept for National Organic Week. Fun and educational farm activities include helping to feed the pigs and egg collecting. There will also be a farm walk where customers can visit the bees and cows. Customers will be invited to help harvest fresh vegetables and participate in a cookery demonstration for inspiration about how to cook and serve what is in season.
Remember that this is a real farm and old clothes and wellingtons are recommended. Please see events diary above.

Castlefarm new season honey is once again on the shelves. We also have our own plum and cinnamon jam for sale.

Seasonal summer openings
At the moment we have so much fresh produce coming on board we are often opening on a Friday or Saturday. Follow us on face book or sign up to our newsletter to keep up to speed on last minute decisions to open as well as seasonal specials!

Apple juicing service
For the past few years Castlefarm has been pressing its own apples into juice. We bring a few tonnes of apples down to Tipperary on the tractor and then a month later we collect the pasteurised, bottled juice. This year we are inviting customers to bring their own apples to Castlefarm for juicing. Eating apples as well as cooking apples can be juiced. They must be relatively clean, without bruises or damage. We are not sure of the costs involved yet but people who bring apples to Castlefarm should be entitled to 1 bottle of apple juice per kg of apples at a cost of €2 per bottle. Please let me know if you are interested!
