Saturday 14th of November 11am free farm walk.  Meet our pigs, calves, hens, cows and maybe our bees!  See our garden and our allotments and learn a bit about farming in the winter.

Growth has really slowed down and our final tomatoes, grapes, raspberries, rhubarb, courgettes and cucumbers will be harvested in the next 2 weeks.  Leeks have come into season and carrots and parsnips are on their way.

€5,000 raised for Brigid’s Hospice and Crumlin during Castlefarm Harvest Fair
Our thanks to all who helped in making our harvest fair a success.  We have raised in the region of 5,000 which will be donated to St Brigid’s Hospice on the Curragh and the Surgical Day ward of Crumlin Childrens Hospital.

Castlefarm Harvest Fair
Our Ladies Children’s Hospital in Crumlin and St Brigid’s Hospice on the Curragh will benefit from the bountiful harvest of the Castlefarm organic allotments on the last weekend of August.  From 28th-30th of August allotment holders at Kildare’s Castlefarm will run a festival of fun, food and fundraising to celebrate the first year of the Castlefarm allotments and to give over 30 green fingered allotment holders  a chance to show off their achievements.

It has been a crazy end to May with us supplying the Late Late Show with lots of veg, eggs, relishes and cheese for Pat’s last show.  Of course there were perks to setting up stall in RTE on the June Bank holiday weekend.  This included watching U2 performing live and meeting lots of interesting people including Pat himself, Imelda May and the Apres Match guys.

On Saturday 24th from 11-12.30pm we will be holding a free farm tour – and a chance to collect your own eggs.  A walk across our farm to learn more about organic farming, our cows, bees, hens and garden.  We will even allow you to collect your own eggs!

To celebrate the arrival of summer we are holding a family fun day on Saturday, 18th April from 11am to 1pm. This family fun day will provide visitors with a chance to meet calves, cows and hens and participate in a guided tour of the farm. Visitors will also have the chance to collect and bring home their own hen eggs.
